Sorry, Ghettoblaster is a montlhy club event taking place in Warsaw, Poland. Going a long way since the hot summer of 2006 till nowadays it became one of the landmarks of the capital's club life.
Organizing events with such artists as: Hot Chip, Fake Blood, Riva Starr, Jokers Of The Scene, The Bloody Beetroots, Congorock, Boy 8-Bit, Renaissance Man, David E Sugar, Jack Beats, Zombie Disco Squad, The Shadowdancer, Don Rimini, His Majesty Andre to mention a few, it quickly became the leading club night, gaining recognition not only in Poland but all over Europe.
Together with my friend, Tomek, I created Sorry, Ghettoblaster.
I was responsible for the visual identity of the event. Be it posters, flyers or limited edition of badges for the first 100-150 guests.
Series of posters for 2009/2010:
The idea was to create a series of posters that would appeal to a bit older club audience (24 and up). I wanted the posters to be restrained in terms of colours. I wanted to achieve a feeling of "untold".
I decided to make a series of photographs that would show a selection of random objects that were interesting from the symbolic or purely visual point of view.
Series of posters for 2008/2009:
This series was based on a centered composition with the main graphic element in the upper half of the poster. Shapes on the posters are my private reflection on each event. Sometimes the bond between the poster and the artists is clearly marked (show with Fake Blood), sometimes not.
